BANDUNG, meteo.itb.ac.id — Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) officially held its first open graduation ceremony for the 2024/2025 academic year on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at the Sasana Budaya Ganesha (Sabuga) Auditorium. To celebrate the achievements of the Meteorology graduates, the Faculty of Earth Sciences and Technology (FITB) held a special graduation celebration on October 23, 2024, at the ITB West Hall, prior to the main ceremony at Sabuga.
During the open ceremony, it was announced that a total of 5,053 graduates from various academic levels were conferred their degrees. This cohort included 3,399 bachelor’s degree graduates, 1,526 master’s degree graduates, and 128 doctoral degree graduates. Among these graduates, the ITB Meteorology Study Program proudly saw 37 students complete their education with great dedication and enthusiasm.

The 36 ITB Meteorology graduates comprise 33 students from the Class of 2020, two from the Class of 2019, and two from the Class of 2018. They have demonstrated a strong passion for learning while completing their studies in meteorology. Furthermore, this year’s achievement is particularly notable due to the rise in the graduation rate for meteorology students, which increased from 75% during the October 2023 ITB graduation ceremony to 88% this year.
“This improvement is a testament to the hard work and commitment of ITB Meteorology students in overcoming academic challenges,” said Dr. Muhammad Rais Abdillah, S.Si., M.Sc., Head of the ITB Meteorology Study Program.
This achievement is further highlighted by the success of three graduates who earned cum laude honors—Suci Rosyidatunnajah (12820024), Fattah Ghiffari (12820026), and Umiati Ningrum (12820035)—all of whom achieved a GPA of 3.50 or higher. These three students demonstrate that perseverance and dedication in the pursuit of knowledge yield proud results.

Congratulations to all graduates of the ITB Meteorology Study Program who have successfully completed their studies with dedication and perseverance. May the knowledge you have gained be applied meaningfully across various fields and bring a positive impact to the wider community. Continue to innovate and contribute to the advancement of meteorology and the development of Indonesia.
Wishing you continued success in your future endeavors, young meteorologists!
