The ITB Meteorology Study Program Proudly Graduates 15 Students During the August 2025 Graduation Ceremonies

BANDUNG, meteo.itb.ac.id – Graduation is always one of the most anticipated moments for students, faculty, and families. Beyond marking the conclusion of their studies, graduation serves as a celebration of success, perseverance, and dedication to the pursuit of knowledge.

For this period, the Meteorology Study Program at the Faculty of Earth Sciences and Technology ITB, proudly sent off 15 graduates during the August 2025 graduation ceremonies held on Friday, August 29, 2025. The send-off was a solemn and grateful occasion, characterized by a spirit of togetherness among the academic community, the graduates’ families, and fellow students.

To honor and celebrate the graduates’ achievements, the Meteorology Study Program organized a series of activities involving faculty members, students, and families.

Graduation Activities

The series of events began on August 28, 2025, with a graduation celebration and a Final Project Exhibition held in the meeting room of the ITB Meteorology Study Program. The event opened with remarks from the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, the Head of the Meteorology Study Program, the Chairperson of IAME, and the Chairperson of HMME “Atmosphaira” ITB.

During the celebration session, graduates were called up individually; their final project titles were announced, and they received medals and sashes presented by the Head of the Study Program. The event continued with a video recap of their academic journey, creating a touching atmosphere for the graduates and their families.

Next, the Final Project Exhibition took place. Graduates presented their research findings via posters, and both students and faculty members cast votes for the “Best Poster,” the winner of which was announced at the end of the event.

The highlight of the series of events occurred on August 29, 2025, with the Open Graduation Session—part of ITB’s Third Graduation Ceremony for the 2024/2025 Academic Year—held at Sabuga ITB. This Open Session served as the official ceremony conferring degrees upon the Meteorology Study Program graduates, alongside students from other faculties and schools at ITB.

Graduates’ Achievements

The achievements of this graduation cohort were further distinguished by five graduates earning Cum Laude honors: Jeremy Blessclay Muljana, Fardhan Indrayesa, Rifda Amara Aulia, Khodja Ummi Medina, and Abyaz Nawfaldhiya. Additionally, Rubens Phenola Setiawan achieved Magna Cum Laude status, marking a truly impressive academic accomplishment.

Beyond academic excellence, several graduates were also active in student organizations, scientific competitions, and collaborative research projects with faculty members. This demonstrates that ITB Meteorology graduates are not only intellectually outstanding but also committed to personal development and contributing to society.

Meteorology Study Program hopes that graduates will apply the knowledge gained during their studies for the advancement of the nation, particularly in the fields of disaster mitigation, climate planning, and sustainable energy development. In line with ITB’s vision, graduates are expected to become a generation of strong character, ready to face the challenges of the technological era.
