BANDUNG, meteo.itb.ac.id – The ITB Meteorology Study Program proudly bid farewell to 21 graduates at the October 2025 Graduation ceremony. The event served as an expression of appreciation for the academic achievements of the students, as well as a moment of togetherness among the academic community, graduates’ families, alumni, and active students within the Meteorology Study Program.
The series of events was held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the East CC Building of ITB, encompassing three main agendas: the Graduation Thanksgiving Ceremony, the Final Project Exhibition, and the Alumni Talkshow. The event was organized by the ITB Meteorology Study Program in collaboration with the ITB Meteorology Student Association (HMME) “Atmosphaira” through the graduation organizing committee.
Graduation Thanksgiving Ceremony: Gratitude and Togetherness
The event opened with a communal prayer led by Mr. Musa Ali Mustofa, S.Si., M.Si., a lecturer in the Meteorology Study Program, as an expression of gratitude for the graduates’ success in completing their studies at ITB. The event then continued with the opening by the MC, followed by remarks from the deputy dean, the head of the study program, the head of the student association, and the head of the IAME Meteorology Study Program.
The first address was delivered by the Head of the Meteorology Study Program, Dr. Muhammad Rais Abdillah, S.Si., M.Sc., followed by the Chair of the ITB Meteorology Alumni Association (IAME), Yuslia Angraeni, S.Si., the Chair of HMME “Atmosphaira” ITB, Muhammad Umam Nabeel, and finally by the Deputy Dean for Resources of FITB, Dr. Dasapta Erwin Irawan, S.T., M.T. All four expressed appreciation for the graduates’ perseverance throughout their studies, along with their hopes that the graduates would continue to contribute to the development of meteorological science and the advancement of the nation.
The event continued with the reading of the names of the October 2025 graduates, accompanied by the screening of a video documenting the journey of ITB Meteorology students, capturing moments of togetherness throughout their years of study. As the closing of this session, a representative of the graduates delivered impressions and messages conveying their gratitude and hopes following the completion of their academic journey at ITB.
Final Project Exhibition: Appreciation for Work and Dedication
Following the thanksgiving session, the event continued with the Final Project (TA) Exhibition held in the East CC Building area of ITB. During this activity, a number of graduates displayed their research in the form of scientific posters summarizing the findings of their Final Projects.
Through this exhibition, the graduates had the opportunity to share their ideas, research results, and contributions to the development of meteorological science with the academic community and visiting guests. The activity also served as a learning platform for active students to become acquainted with various research approaches and study topics currently being developed within the ITB Meteorology Study Program.
To add to the enthusiasm and sense of appreciation, the committee also opened a visitor voting session to determine the three best posters from among the works on display. This initiative received a high level of enthusiasm, as visitors were able to directly participate in showing their support for the works they found most compelling and communicative.
Although not all graduates were able to attend in person, the exhibition remained lively and became an occasion for reflection on the dedication and hard work of the graduates as they reached the end of their academic journey at ITB.
Alumni Talkshow: Sharing Experiences and Career Inspiration
As the closing event of the series, the ITB Meteorology Alumni Talkshow was held, featuring speakers from various professional fields. During this session, alumni shared their experiences regarding career journeys, the challenges of the professional world, and the relevance of meteorological knowledge across various professional sectors.
The discussion proceeded interactively, with participants having the opportunity to pose questions directly to the speakers. Through this activity, participants are hoped to gain insight and motivation as they take their next steps after completing their education at ITB.
The October 2025 Graduation series of events proceeded smoothly and with great warmth. Through these activities, the Meteorology Study Program hopes that the graduates will continue to develop themselves and contribute to the advancement of meteorological science in Indonesia
